Class overview

In eighth grade, students study Georgia geography, history, government, and economics. While the four strands are interwoven, ample opportunity is also provided for in-depth study of the geography of Georgia and the government of Georgia. U.S. historical events are included, as appropriate, to ensure students understand Georgia’s role in the history of the United States.

On this website you will find lots of valuable resources for this class. The "Notes" page has links to every set of notes that we will use this year. The "Videos" page has videos of me teaching every topic that we will cover this year. Utilize these pages to help you when you need additional help or when you are absent.

The "Calendar" page has a Google Calendar that I will update each day with an explanation of what we covered in class as well as a download link to any handouts we used in class. Use this if you are absent, need to know what is coming up, or if you lose an assignment and need to print an additional copy.
